Nose Strips: Holika Holika “Pig Nose Clear Blackhead 3-Step Kit” | Concealer: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in “Ginger” | Lippies: Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in “Kir Royal”, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in “Zurich” | Brow Gel: Benefit Gimme Brow in “Medium/Deep”
Can’t say I champion roses or kittens like Fräulein Maria, but I am currently loving all of the items listed above and here’s why!
Whitening creams excluded, I am always down to try Asian beauty products because 1) it makes me feel closer to my Asian roots and 2) have you see Asian celebrities and their flawless baby skin?! I feel like it could happen to me, too, and that testing all kinds of Asian products is the key to my skin success! Picked up a couple of these at a nearby Asian mall last week and absolutely loved the results. For $3.50 CAD? Helloooooo, it’s a no-brainer.
I consider myself a makeup minimalist, but I know that concealer is an absolute must. I’ve been championing Benefit’s Fake-Up for quite a while because I really like how it’s also a hydrating stick, but with all of the hoopla coming up with Toronto Fashion Week, I figured I’d try something a little more concealing. NARS is usually my go-to brand and this radiant creamy concealer is no exception. “Ginger” blends perfectly with my skin, covers perfectly under my eyes and occasional spots, and doesn’t dry out throughout the day. I think our relationship is off to a beautiful start.

Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in “Kir Royal” (Limited Edition, pictured here) $28 CAD
Picked up a limited edition set of 2, which includes both the lipstick and lip gloss in this beautiful deep wine/berry shade. It’s perfect for fall! Bite has a great rep for delivering quality, long-lasting colour and hydration while using natural and organic ingredients. Like really, how can you not love that? Can’t wait to wear lippy out!
NYX is one of those brands that I’ve slept on. I can flashback to countless times when I failed to pay any attention to it when shopping through Target Canada (RIP) or my local Rexall. That all changed when my darling cousin in London asked me to send some to her (Shoutout to the Cuh, my #1 fan in the UK!). I searched high and low, scouring the streets looking for some to send to her and found a bunch. Long story short, I found some, but was unable to get it to her in time due to a miscommunication (blame my mother). I then heard a ton of people complaining about how it’s such a hot product and that they can’t get their hands on any. Longer story short, I realized I was now hoarding 4 tubes of a hot commodity so I opened one up to try it and it is now mine forever (Sorry, Cuh!).
I love that it applies super creamy, but still remains soft when matte and doesn’t dry out like many other matte lippies do. Great colour selection and even better pricing! Thank goodness we’re opening up a store in Toronto soon; I’m sensing a new obsession!
I am a pretty even combo of my mom and dad. Part of that gamble is that I’ve inherited my grandma’s/dad’s eyebrows or devil eyebrows, as I like to call them. Why? Because they are two totally different shapes (one round, one angular) and impossible to shape! I’ve always lusted after the thick statement brows, but alas, they are just not meant for me. I was strolling through Yorkville and decided to pop into the local Sephora with time to kill. The brow specialist cornered me (likely saw my poor unfortunate brows) and demo’d this product on me. I loved it so much that I bought it and the rest is happily history. I love that it is a gel and is buildable like mascara. It’s great at filling in any hair gaps and looks natural to boot! This must be love.
Have you tried any of these goodies?! As always, looking forward to your comments and feedback below! ❤ xo
