November Must-Haves

BalmainxHM earrings

In my house, November 1st marks the first day of our Christmas countdown. We pack away our Halloween fun/costumes in exchange for Christmas songs, decor and, of course, Christmas shopping lists!

Today also marks the end of Daylight Savings Time and, in preparation of the upcoming winter season, I’ve made a quick list of goodies that I’ll be looking to add to my wardrobe. It’s always a sartorial challenge  once the colder nights hit, but I’ve learned you can never go wrong with a few cold-weather accessories.

Here’s what I’m shopping this month:

Nordstrom Cloche

Nordstrom Wool Bow Cloche $52.39 CAD

In S/S, I opt for the floppy-brimmed hats, but in F/W, I like to keep the brim short and sweet for added warmth. Enter: Cloche. Who can deny the cloche as equal parts functional and glam? If it’s good enough for Angelina Jolie in The Changeling, it’s good enough for me.

F21 Gloves

F21  Houndstooth & Faux Fur Leather Gloves $15.90 CAD

My favorite pattern is the houndstooth print, and ’tis the season for it to flourish! Houndstooth is and will be everywhere and what better way to wear the statement print than on your hands? I love leather gloves and have often splurged on quality pairs, but I always (always) find a way to lose them (and cry). For $16 CAD, I get 1) my favorite print, 2) warm hands and 3) less heartbreak when the inevitable loss happens. It’s a no-brainer.

BalmainxHM earrings

BALMAIN x H&M Sparkly Earrings $39.99 CAD (In stores November 5)

I love everything about the BALMAIN x H&M collaboration (including Kendall’s fierce commercial), but even I know it would be most impractical to buy into the pieces that I’ll only wear once. My compromise? These sparkly green gems! I don’t have to wait for a special occasion to wear these glittery greens and just think how fun they’ll look against my standard all-blacks!

Joe Fresh Dress

Joe Fresh Turtleneck Dress $29

I always forget to take a peek at Joe Fresh when I’m cruising through Loblaw in search of last-minute baking ingredients. I will  build in some browsing time on my next shopping adventure for granny smith apples and flour because this turtleneck dress is everything. It’s $29. It’s everything.

Zara Stole

Zara Maxi Faux Fur Maxi Stole $89.90 CAD

FAUX. FUR. STOLE. CHIC. WEAR ALL THE TIME. Just look at it!

Do yourself a favour and buy it now, k? ❤

Aldo Boots
Aldo SEANIA-U Boots $220 CAD

My two splurges during this season are always 1) a coat (hello0oo, camel!) and 2) boots. You all know I love pairing sweater dresses with tights and boots, and these chic suede beauties are all I need to power through a dreary Monday/everyday. Well, at least before the snow hits. 😉

Zara Brooch

Zara Floral Gem Brooch $19.90 CAD

If you don’t own a million coats, F/W can be a pain. Why? Because you feel like you’re wearing the same thing everyday. My solution? A brooch! Ok, not exactly my solution because everyone including my grandmother wore brooches, but hey! They’re geniuses. Jewelry for your outerwear? Count me in.

There you have it, loves! Hoping this brings you all a little shopping inspiration. Start making your lists and checking it twice 🙂 ❤ xo
