I have another confession to make.
This time it’s bad – and I mean really bad.
Nat now owns Uggs, but, before you judge me, let me explain!
Ugg Australia Adirondack Tall Boots $435 CAD
After years of championing the anti-Ugg movement, I have succumbed to function over fashion via these warm Adirondack Tall boots. Why? Because I’m moving to Edmonton and I get cold feet.
No, not in the flaky “Leave you at the altar”-way, but in the “Son of a bish, its cold outside – my feet are freezing”-way.
I’ve been deliberating my winter boot of choice ever since learning that I scored the promotion out West and it has been a pretty stressful situation. I’ve been doing some serious research and window shopping for Sorel, Pajar, Kodiak and Cougar branded boots, but found them to be a) not warm enough, b) too cumbersome/clunky or c) downright hideous. I was really hoping to make something work with one of those brands because they offered the price points that I had in mind when creating my budget, but then I decided to try on the Uggs. Warmth? Check. Lightweight? Check. Style? Ok, not quite, but easier on the eyes than most. Well damn. Here we are. I own a pair of Ugg boots.
You all know I love a good deal, but some things are worth the splurge. At least that’s what I’ll be telling myself when I’m out and about in the frigid Alberta cold……

This 416 tuque oughta help keep me warm, too! Shoutout to my cousin for the TO gag gift (except I don’t think she was kidding)…
As for my OOTDs, these are from Saturday (festive and casual as I put up my Christmas deco!!) and today, as I am T-2 days away from exiting the Toronto workscape (for now!!). Two different looks for two different places, but both very Nat. 😉 ❤ xo
I hear ya.. Sometimes we have to grit our teeth and wear things we don’t want to.. Considering a woolley hat now.. Yipes
