I can’t believe January has already come and gone! We survived the post-holiday blahs and the #bluestMonday, and so it’s safe to say I can’t wait for February! Valentine’s Day? Super Bowl? NBA All-Star Weekend? Award show after award show? Count me in!
As you know, the one major challenge I’ve had since moving to Edmonton is the harsh effect the weather has had on my skin and hair. I kick-started 2016 with Boscia, but my skin still dried out when the crazy low weather hit. Thankfully, we’ve been experiencing mild weather lately, but I know Mother Nature is going to yank the proverbial rug from under me soon enough.
Sharing my most recent fave beauty minis after the break because it’s better to be moisturized than sorry (and dry AF). ❤

I am a huge fan of Lush. From their bath bombs, to their face masks, shampoos and beyond! This Tea Tree Water is a classic and a must-have toner. The natural ingredients mean it isn’t as astringent as other toners, but is still very effective! Spray it directly on to your face or onto a cotton ball to remove excess dirt after cleansing, while tightening pores.
By mid-January, my skin was the driest it had ever been. Enough was enough! I bolted into Sephora after work one day and was recommended this moisturizer by First Aid Beauty. When the cold weather returns, I’ll be reaching for this bottle again and I’ll never look back.
I knew I had to try this Pep-Start eye cream by Clinique as soon as it hit shelves. If you have serious under-eye concerns, this product is likely not for you. I’d stick to the eye cream Gods like Ole Henriksen. However, this eye cream is perfect for early- to mid-20s looking for a little boost in the morning. It’s light and refreshing, and it really does give you that pep-start! Well named, Clinique!
The weather really messed with my hair and made it impossible to work with second day hair. I typically refuse to wash my hair every day, but my natural oils were working overtime. This Perfect hair Day cream by Living Proof saved me! I comb some through my hair from roots to tips before bed and it is in perfect condition the next morning. It’s fast-absorbing and really helps to refresh hair.
I’m all about beauty oils and this one from Boscia was my favorite find from my Boscia 2016 kick-off. I like to press it into my face after cleansing for that perfect dewy glow, but it’s also great when you mix a couple of drops into your moisturizer for extra vibrancy!
What are your skin and hair saviors? Be sure to let me know in the comments! 🙂 x
