Tried & True: Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Ribs

 

I have a confession to make: I may or may not have broken my laptop, which is why I’ve been pretty dormant lately. Another confession: I may or may not have sneaked my way onto C’s “strictly for work” work laptop to post this. Shh, please don’t tell!
I personally love watching these BuzzFeed Tasty videos on Facebook. They make cooking look easy and they inspire me to try them myself, which is already a big deal! I thought I’d start with something simple that C would be sure to enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups of bbq sauce
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. of cider vinegar
  • 3 tsp of oregano
  • 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. of cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. of chili powder
  • 3 lbs of baby back pork ribs
  • Salt & pepper

METHOD:

  1. Combine all the ingredients listed in brown in a small mixing bowl;
  2. Rub ribs with salt and pepper (a pinch of both on each side);
  3. Place ribs in slow cooker and pour sauce mixture over ribs;
  4. Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.

These ribs were so good and practically fall right off the bone. Why can’t cooking always be this easy? Can’t wait to try more of those fun vids!
