Hello. It’s me.
I must say, there is nothing quite like obtaining VIB Rouge status to break a girl’s Western wilderness reverie. In between these adventures, I have been focused on improving my skincare routine and I have finally figured out a customized system that works for me! I’d say that’s worth forgiving my hiatus, amirite?
Maybe it took a while (and a lot $$$) to get me here, and maybe don’t tell C where some of my money has disappeared to this year, but do click through the images below to read about these current beauty faves! (Low qual pics end here.)
boscia White Charcoal Mattifying MakeUp Setting Spray 1oz, $15 CAD // Spritz some on before/after makeup application and *boop* you’re in for an oil-free day ahead!
Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum 10z, $57 CAD // Not sure how many times I’ve cried about this, but Edmonton has dried my skin out like crazy. I bought this oil-free serum and have not complained since. My skin is refreshed, hydrated and soft thanks to Caudalie’s exclusive organic grape water. (It works!)
First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser 8oz, $37 CAD // I used to love Clinique’s 3-Step skincare system, but, boy, did my skin take a hit. I found that the cleanser was stripping my skin of the necessary oils, causing a gross, tight feeling. I swapped for this cleanser by First Aid Beauty and am so happy with how my skin is feeling now!
Origins GinZing™ Refreshing Eye Cream 0.5oz, $39 CAD // I used to champion Clinique’s Pep Start eye gel, but this GinZing eye cream by Origins means business. I dab some on in the morning and suddenly look like I wasn’t up late binge watching on Netflix. Magic.
Origins Super Spot Remover™ Acne Treatment Gel 0.3oz, $20 // Sometimes when I feel deserving, I treat myself to chocolate. And then I am full of regret when a pimple surfaces. This spot remover eases my regret and lets me continue my affair with chocolate. Win-win.
Tatcha Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder 2.1 oz, $78 CAD // This powder is a dream. Tatcha is based off of Japanese trade secrets. This powder activates with a bit of water and turns into a creamy, gentle exfoliator. Japanese rice bran blended with papaya extracts and pearl protein extracts make Nat a happy camper. TRY THIS.
Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream with Super 7 Complex 0.5oz, $20 CAD // This smells like cucumbers and feels like a dream. It’s a great moisturizer for all skin types. The Super 7 complex defends against wrinkles, preserves collagen, supports the production of hyaluronic acid, seals in moisture, and softens the skin.
Have you tried any of these gems? Be sure to let me know! Links to all are listed below and can be purchased at Sephora.
Hope all is well in the blogosphere! Stay tuned for more updates and my very first giveaway (for all your patience, of course).
