February Must-Haves: A Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

I know that Valentine’s Day is a Hallmark holiday, but I love Love and after a January lull/Christmas detox, I am all game for a little festive fun/thoughtful gift-giving.

Looking for something to gift the special lady in your life? Kitschy gifts for your bestie? Perhaps a thoughtful gift for your mom? Something above catching your eye? Just feel like shopping?  Click through the break for my picks!

Charbonnel et Walker Assorted Chocolates in Heart Shaped Gift Box, $41 CAD

Ok, let’s get the obvious out of the way. Chocolates. For Valentine’s Day. Keep It Simple Stupid, right? Find me a woman who doesn’t like gourmet chocolates from famous British chocolatier Charbonnel et Walker. If you do find such a woman, send these chocolates to me. I’ll be v, v appreciative.

Kate Spade ‘be mine heart alexya’, $398.00 CAD

Somewhere in New York, Mindy Lahiri must be faking an emergency meeting to ditch work and scoop up this purse. Because it is the sweetest! So kitschy! So cute! So quirky! And there’s a giant statement heart. C’mon.

Meri Meri Paper Love Tokens, $14 CAD

If you’re not looking to shell out hard-earned dough for your S.O. on Valentine’s Day, you could always purchase or make these tokens to be redeemed by your loved one. They will appreciate the gesture and the guaranteed dates, while your wallet will appreciate the break via cute IOU’s.

Jo Malone London Amber & Lavender Bath Oil, $75 CAD

There are few things in life more relaxing than taking a bath. Pour in some bath oil/anything by Jo Malone and your bath is 100x more luxurious. Sure, it’s a steep price to pay for bath oil, but a little goes a long way for mental sanity and relaxation.

Maybe humidifiers aren’t considered sexy or romantic. And maybe pandas have absolutely nothing to do with Valentine’s Day. But hey, “I want to make sure you’re comfortable while temporarily relieving dry air discomforts” just screams ‘caring’. And pandas are cute. Ok, buy this if your S.O. loves pandas. Ok C, buy this for me. PLEASE?

Miiyu Micro-Print Pyjama Set, $59 CAD

Listen, I don’t know about you, but I personally do not want to receive silky lingerie or silky anything in the middle of winter. I want cozy, cute, matching PJs that will make the winter a little bit better and warm my heart lots. This isn’t about you. This is about making us happy.

Planning a Galentine’s Day with your besties, instead? Belt out your T.Swift songs while sipping out of these perfect, punny wine glasses. YOU HAD ME AT MERLOT. HELLO.

OR skip the T.Swift songs/crying session and opt to sip wine while reading this book, instead. I’ll admit I’ve heard very little about this book, but “Celebrating Badass Female Friendship”? With an apt title? How can you not? Sounds like I’ll love it no matter what. #girlpower.

Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Honey Bath, $54 CAD

Luxe bath = Happiness. Make someone happy.

What better way to capture the moment than with an instant photo? I have this camera and I’ve collected so many great memories throughout the years. Full disclosure: the film is pricey (essentially $1 a piece), but I keep mine in an album and in frames with super clever captions! So, so fun.

So the Instax Mini 8 directly above is super cute, but how cool and compact is this? Pick and choose your photos from your phone via app and print them out on the Fujifilm film. No overexposure. No accidental crop-outs. Only perfect photos. This would be a great gadget to have at weddings! Hmm…

Antica Farmacista ‘Prosecco’ Bubble Bath, $51.93 CAD

All the things I said about all the bath things listed above.

Plus bubble bath.

I would (and will) gladly buy this for myself.

I will never say no to a cup of tea. This tea set literally has Love written all over it. Toss in some gourmet loose leaf tea and you are set to warm her heart. Queue awwww.

What are you gifting this Valentine’s Day? Be sure to let me know in the comments below! ❤ xo
